Import/Domestic Coordinator– 2015 to Present• Investigate and recommend optimal freight solutions considering price and time to market requirements• Prepare freight rate quotes for standard, rush & special deliveries utilizing multiple brokers/carriers for warehouse and direct drop shipments• Track freight quotes and savings realized through the multisource quoting process • Ensure that all known delivery requirements are met including accessorials requirements • Correctly classify freight to NMFC (National Motor Freight Class) standards• Efficiently solve problems related to sales, finance & transportation of good shipped nationally. • Reconcile, verify rates, and approve inbound & outbound freight invoices for product purchased domestically• Review UPS & FedEx online billing for small parcel charges ensuring proper allocation to relevant PO or order • Submit freight claims • Identify cross departmental synergies and opportunities for process improvement, training, or documentation • Calculate and update domestic freight allocation used to bill customers and/or update load variances in TERM• Keep organized freight shipping online files for ease of reference & tracking• Investigate and recommend optimal logistics solutions considering price and time to market requirements• Prepare rate quotes for standard, rush & special deliveries• Coordinate and communicate effectively with external parties to ensure timely shipment of product• Monitor deliveries, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintain accurate logs of transportation of shipments• Track and trace shipments • Correctly classify new product in the HTS database• Liaise and communicate effectively with internal staff including but not limited to: Operations, Purchasing, Customer Service and Finance• Ensure proper HTS classification and 7501 entry accuracy
