About Lisa Berg

I am a passionate connector of people, scouting for talent while coaching and mentoring others. My work is inspired by the phrase that “sport has the power to change the world” and “be the change you want to see in the world”. I am driven to bring more opportunities to women and girls globally through sport.I have over 23 years of coaching experience and I have taught coaching courses in more than 20 countries and I am a former D1 soccer player. I hold the USSF A Coaching License, M.S. in Exercise and Sport Psychology (Texas Tech University), and B.S. in Kinesiology (University of Minnesota). I have earned the NSCAA Level 3 Goalkeeping Diploma, USC Director of Coaching Diploma, USC Performance Analysis Level 3, and is a CSCS from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I\'m currently located in San Diego, CA scouting in the MLS for the Right to Dream Academy. Recently moved from Mexico City working with SheWins Mexico. Previously, I served as a scout for the FMF in Mexico assisting with talent identification for the Selección Nacional Mexicana. In my role, I identified women players for all categories of the Mexican National Teams, connected players to professional teams, mentored female coaches, and worked with youth soccer academies. I assisted with evaluations of the FMF’s FIFA Academia Femenil Project to identify players for the U15 and U17 youth national teams that qualified for the most recent FIFA youth world cups. I have also served in talent ID scout for the United Soccer Federation and development of women’s football for FUFA in Uganda, Africa for 10 years. I have in depth experience with Spiideo, video analytics and technology, for over 2 years as a sales development manager and sales manager.I continue to travel globally as a elite youth soccer coach, US Department of State Envoy, and coach educator to execute my work to empower women and girls globally through education, consulting, and empowerment.
