ABOUT LISA ELLMAN

Widely recognized as one of the nation’s “top legal minds” in emerging technologies and aviation technology. Established reputation as a global thought leader on innovation and policymaking, with a focus on Advanced Air Mobility, commercial drone and drone security law and policy. Entrepreneurial spirit with experience founding, managing and growing organizations to support the emerging transportation technology marketplace.A partner in Hogan Lovells’ Transportation and Aviation Practices, Lisa brings extensive government experience and a holistic understanding to issues facing stakeholders across the aviation and broader transportation ecosystem. She co-founded the independent non-profit Commercial Drone Alliance and serves as the organization\'s CEO. Throughout her career, Lisa has worked to bridge government policymaking and business innovation (a combination that has become known as \"polivation\"). Lisa has held a variety of positions at top levels of the executive branch at the White House and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). Most recently she led the DOJ\'s effort to develop policy to govern the use of UAS in the United States. Lisa has served on many industry-government working groups including the FAA Aviation Rulemaking Advisory Committee, NASA Advisory Council Aeronautics Committee, the FAA Beyond Visual Line of Sight Aviation Rulemaking Committee, Drone Safety Team, FAA Remote ID and Tracking Aviation Rulemaking Committee and more. Lisa is a highly sought-after thought leader on advanced aviation law and policy. Her opinions have been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Fortune Magazine, and other publications – and she regularly appears on television to talk about the latest developments. Lisa was featured in Fortune\'s \"Most Powerful Women\" series for her efforts to develop policy to govern drone use in the United States. She also delivered a TEDx talk in 2014.
