   As the Subcommittee Director, I provide strategic direction over the subcommittee\'s plan for oversight of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) management issues. I develop hearing topics in collaboration with the Subcommittee Chairman and staff, originate legislation, address feedback from stakeholders, and negotiate with House and Senate staff to enact bills into law to advance Committee priorities. I also serve as a spokesperson of the Committee on panels.Career Highlights- Oversaw the drafting of 10+ bills that were favorably reported out of Committee, some of which were enacted into law- Successfully managed all aspects of several oversight hearings, including topic development, witness selection, and preparation of materials for Members- Advised the 2021 President\'s transition team on key challenges facing the Department of Homeland Security and provided recommendations to assist them with making policy, budgetary, and personnel decisions.
