ABOUT LISA BOATNER

Where chemistry, biology, and data engineering meet to make science more usable. Focused on FAIR data practices and building the architecture that transforms complex datasets, from chemoproteomics and cheminformatics to spatial omics, into high-resolution maps for drug discovery and biological insight. & : My work began with building computational frameworks to expand the druggable cysteinome, developing interconnected tools that spanned automated target deconvolution (MSCpDAA), hit identification and target prioritization (CysDB), and structure-based drug design through CIAA. Together, these efforts bridged high-throughput experimentation with proteoform-specific target discovery. & : In industry, this evolved into building data infrastructure and products connecting informatics with pharmacology, developing pipelines for target validation of covalent small molecules, photoaffinity labels, and degraders, along with data products like the Protein Turnover Atlas (PTA) to link protein turnover kinetics to PK–PD relationships. This work also extended to collaborative industry efforts like OncoMATCH, integrating transcriptomics, proteomics, and drug bioactivity to support precision oncology and combination therapy design- & : Currently, I build the data architecture for integrating spatial mass spectrometry, imaging, and multi-omics. Working as part of a larger initiative, I focus on the ingestion and organization of spatiotemporal datasets to enable the mechanistic modeling of biological networks in human tissues.
