ABOUT LISA BÉLANGER
I am dedicated to RDN’s mission of building community capacity through collaboration and addressing the critical gaps in rural social and economic development. I lead the organization with a focus on fostering partnerships and building capacity to empower rural communities to thrive. I believe that through collaborative efforts and leveraging the unique strengths of rural communities, sustainable development and meaningful progress can be achieved in rural areas. Formerly serving as the Director of Operations at RDN, I supported in developing strategies for effective community-focused operations, organizational growth, and financial sustainability. I also serve on the Board of Directors of the Great Divide Trail Association, and have a deep love for adventure and being in the backcountry. I completed a 4,265 km 4.5-month thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada, and the 100-mile Lost Soul Ultramarathon.
