About Liraz Mudrik
I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the Naval Postgraduate School, supervised by Prof. Kaminer and Prof. Kragelund. My current research develops control-centric methods for continuous-time optimization, deriving algorithms directly from Lyapunov stability principles to achieve selectable convergence rates, including exponential, finite-time, fixed-time, and prescribed-time. This framework unifies constrained optimization, minimax, and generalized Nash equilibrium problems, with applications to distributed multi-agent systems for cooperative and adversarial swarm coordination and collision avoidance. Previously, my work at NPS focused on motion planning and information-driven guidance in GPS-denied environments.I hold a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, where I developed Bayesian-based tracking and interception strategies integrating estimation and guidance theory under the supervision of Prof. Yaakov Oshman. My research has been recognized with the Merhav Memorial Prize and the Gutwirth and Faculty Excellence Scholarships.
