About Michelle Lira
Hi, I’m Michelle!I’m passionate about two things, in the following order: People and Science.The world and the promise of biotechnology captivated me from my first day as an intern at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR), igniting a curiosity that has only grown since.As the Domestic Distribution Channel Manager at NEB, I support the strategic execution and operational excellence of our third-party sales channels. I collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Operations, Marketing, and Field Staff to ensure our channel partners are equipped with the tools, messaging, and support they need.My prior work experience has spanned the technical and lab managerial side of bench science, at a then start-up biotechnology company called Affinivax, which focused on vaccine development. In 2018, I transitioned to Sales/Marketing at Cytiva (fka GE Healthcare Life Sciences). I then spent a year in a heavily customer service oriented role, as a Technical Support Scientist at NEB.Each experience has allowed me to hone specific skill sets, such as laboratory logistics and inventory management. Pivotally, these experiences also taught me the importance of relationship building and teamwork.Personally and professionally, I am always aiming to improve upon who I was yesterday, even if that’s just 1% everyday.
