About Liping Han
Dr. Han is a Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the state of Texas, and is currently working as an Advisor at ExxonMobil where he provides water and waste management expertise to businesses and projects. Dr. Han\'s extensive industrial experience includes water and waste management, design and operations of water/wastewater treatment facilities, innovative technologies for water/wastewater treatment, water/wastewater treatment process simulations and treatability studies, groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling, groundwater/soil remediation, air pollution control, environmental compliance and permitting. Dr. Han has managed many environmental projects and supported international project development in North America, South America, Asia, and Europe.Dr. Han is an environmental compliance expert and familiar with Federal and State environmental regulations. He has completed numerous NPDES/TPDES, RCRA, COE, stormwater, drinking water, hydrostatic testing, water rights and water reuse permit applications and plans. He has worked as permitting advisor for multi-billion dollar projects and has direct knowledge of working and negotiating with regulatory agencies. Dr. Han published more than 20 academic papers in areas covering water/wastewater treatment, hazardous waste management, and pollution control technologies. He delivered speeches/presentations at national and international conferences.Dr. Han was elected as a Committee Member of WEF and has served on the Advisory Board for several international conferences. He is a frequent reviewer of IWA/WEF conferences and peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Environmental Quality, Environment International, Environmental Management, Waste Management, Water Science and Technology, etc. Dr. Han serves as a Technical Advisor for Engineers Without Borders (EWB) and is responsible for water related project reviews.
