Built and delivered a cyber strategy around security testing, detection engineering and incident response, building and leading technical cyber security teams for the global Tesco business and its subsidiaries. I have successfully built a hybrid global 24/7 Security Operations Centre (SOC), detection engineering, security architecture, and security testing teams (vulnerability management, bug bounty programme, penetration testing, application assurance) to assure the technology landscape. Manage a multi-million-pound budget delivering cyber security building internal teams and strategic relationships with the right partners. I continuingly challenge the value and maturity of different vendors to ensure the right balance of value and delivery. Subsidiary oversight – Provide cyber security services, security operations, incident response and security testing, to our subsidiaries but also providing an advisory capacity on overall security programme strategy and effectiveness of their cyber controls. Security testing – Continuous security testing using offensive trained penetration testers (red and purple teaming) to identify risks and remediate findings in a risk prioritised approach for our business. Application assurance – Ground up execution of a new strategic application assurance process, delivering assessment of critical applications to identify any security weaknesses, build improvement plans and advise on remediation that is required using risk-based prioritisation.
