Currently working as a full-time teacher teaching Honors level Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra 2 to middle school students- Ranked as exceptional for 2021-present for teacher effectiveness- Tutor students twice a week to reinforce skills for students who struggle- Worked with high school students to form the high school’s first DECA team. By year two, 112 students had signed up with 60 qualifying for the state competition and 16 qualifying at the international level- Researched and made recommendations for math curriculum based on Florida’s new B.E.S.T. standards- Unpacked standards and created curriculum maps for math classes- Worked with administration to determine students’ eligibility for promotion into advanced classes.
