Operational Leadership:• Assist the Director of Care Management in overseeing daily department operations.• Directly Supervises 5-9 supervisory care managers, DDS and disease managers.• Indirectly Supervises 48 care managers.• Develop, build, and sustain high-performing teams while ensuring team focus, competence, and productivity.• Oversee the resolution of enrollee issues and grievances, supporting supervisory care managers in building capacity.Policy Development and Implementation:• Aid in the development, revision, and operationalization of care management (CM) policies and procedures.• Coordinate training, skill-building, and tool deployment to support policy implementation.• Facilitate proper pacing of rollouts to minimize rework and maximize efficiency.Recruitment and Staff Development:• Participate in recruiting qualified CM staff and fostering their well-being.• Conduct performance management processes for direct reports, ensuring supervisory care managers do the same for their teams.• Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities for staff and leadership teams.Data-Driven Decision Making:• Leverage reports and data to identify trends and emerging issues.• Maintain accountability for assigned CM reports submitted to regulatory entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.• Utilize the CM IT system to pull data, resolve complaints, and address enrollee concerns effectively.Relationship Management:• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with District of Columbia public agencies (e.g, DBH, DYRS, DDS, CFSA).• Represent the CM department in external meetings as assigned by leadership.Quality Improvement and Compliance:• Actively participate in Quality/Performance Improvement (QI/PI) initiatives and ensure tools are in place to meet QI goals.• Ensure assigned deliverables meet licensure/accreditation standards and deadlines.• Collaborate on performance indicators reporting and address escalated enrollee concerns.
