About Lin Zhang-Chen

Throughout my 7+ years of work experience, I have continued to explore various fields in biomedical engineering, such as in vivo imaging, solute permeability measurement, bio-optics, data analysis. I believe that it is the duty of scientists to continuously improve their knowledge and apply their skills to improve people\'s life.Being a biomedical scientist, my passion is to bring translate bench to bedside, bringing advanced products to the customer. I have worked on projects such as Drug delivery, Tumor Metastasis, and Optical Pathology. I have worked as Project Leader in developing innovative methods in skin cancer diagnosis with Sinai Medical Staff Foundation and led to a potential patent. I communicated with my team members, scheduled timelines, delivered high-quality outcomes and secured funding for ~140k total. I am an efficient worker, producing 9 scientific publications and 8 conference papers/abstract in <5 years. I am also a patient communicator. I priorities listening to people and understanding their needs in order to form a connection. I was invited as a consultant in CCNY Alumni Career Events. Besides research, I am also very happy to provide support and training to students and junior scientists. One of the high school teams I led won the top prize among 300 competitors in the 2014 WESEF. I am highly interested in areas where scientific knowledge can be applied towards the development of new products in skincare, pharmaceuticals, healthcare or other technology industry.
