Designed, implemented, and supported the tooling required for baking Windows AMIs. This cross functional effort required I work with various organizations to build the solution. The tooling was adopted by several internal groups and greatly improved their deployment process. Made use of Packer, Docker, Go, and Chocolatey. Featured on the Netflix Tech Blog. Rewrote an existing black box device remediation API in Go. The service is responsible for managing various devices such as networked PDUs, IR Blasters, button pushing servos, and other functions. The rewrite addressed several outstanding design flaws in the original API and allowed easier adoption by following the jsonapi.org standard. Implemented a serial number checkout API and command line client in Go / Cassandra that replaced a soon to be deprecated Elasticsearch cluster. Built on the same jsonapi.org standard, this API and client allocated serial numbers and reaped them when the associated cloud instance went offline. Designed, implemented, and maintained a highly available, multi-master SaltStack deployment. These masters were used to manage network devices deployed at various 3rd party partner sites around the world. This was designed as a replacement for a VPN + SSH combination that isn\'t as effective in applying changes to many devices at once.
