Key Responsibilities:Invoice Management: Verify, code, and match invoices; enter them into the accounting system for accurate record-keeping.Documentation Review: Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approvals prior to payment to ensure compliance with company policies.Monthly Reconciliations: Complete monthly payment reconciliations and credit card reconciliations, including necessary journal entries.Accounts Payable Reporting: Produce accounts payable (A/P) listings and reconciliations, including detailed monthly variance analyses to track discrepancies.Accruals Preparation: Prepare accruals for month-end close to ensure accurate financial reporting.Payment Processing: Prepare cheque runs and wire transfers efficiently while ensuring all payments are accurate and timely.Vendor Account Maintenance: Maintain vendor accounts, including updating contact information and managing account discrepancies.Internal Liaison: Liaise with internal staff at all levels to resolve any payment issues and ensure smooth operations.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes and improve overall financial performance, enhancing interdepartmental communication.Audit Preparation: Prepare documentation for external audits and support various ad hoc and special projects, ensuring compliance with auditing standards.Additional Responsibilities: Perform miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as defined by management to support the accounting team and the organization.Mentoring: Skills in training and mentoring junior accounting staff.
