About Marc Link

Marc is a principal consultant at Capco. He has background in operational resiliency, cybersecurity, data privacy, data governance, quality assurance, change management, and business transformation for various defense, utility, finance, and telecommunications clients. Marc has experience assessing and developing privacy programs that meet GDPR, CCPA / CPRA, and a national privacy experience. In order to mature information lifecycle practices, Marc has experience in analyzing legislative implications and achieving sustainable compliance, conducting privacy compliance assessments, revamping privacy policies and governance, assessing and documenting metrics and controls, and performing data discovery. Marc holds a bachelors of business administration degree in management information systems from Baylor University. Marc is currently serving as the program governance manager for an transmission model consolidation implementation at a large electrical utility company. Before that, Marc served as the program goverance manager for a major data privacy implementation at a large telecomminications/media company. From 20••••21, Marc served as a business analyst manager for a data privacy project and a project manager of a security data classification project. From 20••••19, Marc managed a team of 14 testers and served as the training manager on an electrical design system replacement at a large regulated T&D utility company in Dallas.Marc has experience with both agile and waterfall systems implementation methods and is a certified Professional Scrum Master. He has process engineering, data loss prevention, and data migration experience. He also has experience in current state modeling, gap analysis, process modeling and re-design, target/end state modeling, business requirements gathering/documentation, process modeling, requirements gathering, developing methodologies and processes, strategic planning, Business Continuity Planning (BCP) & Disaster Recovery (DR), and Earned Value Management.Marc is considered an expert in testing and has six years of experience leading testing efforts on various projects. Specifically, Marc has experience in functional testing, integration testing, performance testing, test planning and execution, coordinating UAT, defining test data requirements, user testing/testing, compiling test scripts, test execution, defining the overall project test strategy, and defining a test model and approach.In his free time, Marc enjoys skiing, running, camping, hiking, and mentoring students of his alma matter.

   At Capco I am currently serving as the project manager on a technology transformation project at a major electrical utility company. The purpose of the project is to allow for more accurate use of asset data across various systems in the enterprise. In this role, I manage a team of 5-8 people, work with data stewards and analysts across the company on a daily basis, work with several ancillary teams, present to company executives on a weekly basis, and manage status, risks, and issues, for an on-time delivery of Agile sprint artifacts. The project has high visibility at the senior executive level, and the results will set this utility client apart from the competitors.
