Support the TNC mission to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends. Provide technical support to TNC’s Clinch Valley Program and Cumberland Forest Project for GIS mapping, spatial analysis, and information management.Identify, design, and implement restoration projects, primarily on former coal mined lands, within the Clinch Valley Program and Cumberland Forest Project areas. Develop and coordinate strategic land and water restoration partnerships and projects with government agencies, non-profits, private reclamation contractors, local communities, and other partners/constituents.Secure funding for restoration projects via public grant sources like the federal Abandoned Mined Lands (AML) Program, public agencies, and private foundations.
