About Lingjian Kong
I’m an engineering leader and builder with broad, end-to-end experience in autonomous systems development—from building high-performance robotics software to developing large-scale cloud-native AI/ML infrastructure.I’m currently leading the platform team at Bonsai Robotics, architecting and building our end-to-end autonomy platform and AI/ML infrastructure that enables outdoor autonomy at scale.Previously at Apple, my team built AI/ML infrastructure and tooling for the Video Computer Vision organization. We created frameworks and streamlined processes that enabled efficient, scalable, and maintainable AI/ML development lifecycle across multiple machine learning initiatives.Before Apple, I was the founding software engineer behind John Deere\'s first fully autonomous tractor, unveiled by Blue River Technology at CES 2022. My contributions covered the entire autonomy stack—from camera streams to vehicle decisions.I hold graduate degrees in both computer science (Georgia Tech) and mechanical engineering (Columbia University), which brings me a unique cross-disciplinary perspective to building intelligent systems. I\'m passionate about learning, tackling challenging problems, and turning innovative ideas into real-world products by going as broad as possible and as deep as necessary across the technical spectrum.
