Selected as a member of the 2024 Emerging Fellowship Cohort through the Roosevelt Network, an arm of the Roosevelt Institute think tank that focuses on the professional development of undergraduate students. Conduct individual research in the area of Climate Justice (the disparate impacts of the \"urban heat island effect\" in metropolitan Nashville, Tennessee) to be published by the conclusion of the program. Gain insights related to progressive policymaking, the flaws of neoliberalism and new-age solutions to policy problems. ABOUT LINDSEY SPENCER
I am a current senior at the University of Michigan—Ann Arbor, where I am majoring in Political Science and English. On campus, I am involved in organizations dedicated to policymaking and research, along with a commitment to my university\'s student-run newspaper. I plan on applying to law school in the future to pursue a career in public interest law. I am passionate about United States politics, law, journalism and community advocacy, and hope to utilize my skills in coalition-building, writing, research and outreach in my future career.
