Intersectional Environmentalist is a national 501(c)(3) eco-media organization advancing climate justice through art, education, & storytelling. In a Chief of Staff–adjacent capacity, I partner closely with the ED to translate organizational priorities into coordinated action, strengthen internal operations, & ensure leadership has the systems, visibility, & support needed to scale impact sustainably.Key Responsibilities & Achievements:• Executive Partnership & Strategic Enablement: Serve as a trusted operational thought partner to the Executive Director, managing priorities, communications, & workflows while anticipating needs & enabling focused leadership decision-making.• Organizational Operations & Financial Visibility: Oversee core administrative & finance operations, including invoicing, expense tracking, vendor coordination, & documentation while maintaining/ improving internal financial tools (eg. burn tracking, projections, summaries) to support cash-flow awareness, planning, & Board-level visibility.• Systems, Process & Infrastructure Design: Assess, streamline, & standardize internal systems across Google Workspace & Notion, establishing clearer sources of truth, improving cross-functional coordination, & reducing operational friction.• Governance, Contracts & Risk Management: Manage contracts, NDAs, & sensitive organizational records with discretion; support compliance, confidentiality, & organizational risk mitigation in alignment with nonprofit best practices.• Cross-Functional Coordination & Project Support: Support the onboarding & coordination of contractors & collaborators; track deliverables, timelines, & dependencies across programs, development, & operations to ensure initiatives remain aligned & on schedule.• Organizational Capacity Building: Create internal documentation, training materials, & SOPs that enable continuity, knowledge transfer, & long-term operational resilience beyond individual roles.
