About Lindsey Pullum
I consider myself a creative ethnographer with a strong passion for service and mentorship. Trilingual in English, Hebrew, and Palestinian-Israeli Arabic, I have used my ethnographic skills all over the world to understand and appreciate diverse people, places, products, and perspectives. My current research projects focus on Druze in Israel and the Golan Heights and tourism as a means of cultural citizenship. As an experienced university professor, with specialties in cultural anthropology and the Middle East, I am committed to innovative and radical expressions of knowledge productions. I have an extensive history of working in higher education, service-learning, and experiential teaching and course design, which has affirmed my love of collaborative teams working towards a goal or solving a problem and one-on-one mentorship.

Manage the Youth & Government teen, civics education program, a year around grant-funded program for 200 teenagers across DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. Design and teach a 40-week curriculum for 20 teens on career and college readiness, bill writing and public policy, and servant leadership using Google Classroom Modules. Plan, organize, and execute two annual events for over 300 students, teachers, and DC City government officials, including the State Board of Education and City Council Members. Supervise and manage 35 volunteers who serve at teen meetings and annual events; train new volunteers in Child Abuse Prevention; host monthly social events for program volunteers and national alumni across DC. Assess program strengths through qualitative and quantitative surveys on program efficacy and areas of improvement for internal stakeholders and external grant funders. Increase brand recognition and participant awareness through frequent social media engagement on Instagram, LinkedIn, and the website.
