ABOUT LINDSEY PRECHT
Lindsey is a passionate and dedicated environmental program manager with over a decade of experience in the public, private, and academic sectors. She currently serves as the Assistant Director of the Environment & Sustainability Department at the City of Miami Beach, where she oversees various programs, processes, and activities to provide direct and indirect services in environment and sustainability. She has successfully coordinated and managed beach renourishment projects, facilitated dune enhancements, secured grant funding, and directed living shoreline initiatives and artificial reef programs. She has also administered water quality testing programs, superintended a permittee’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) yearly permit, and supervised soil remediation, groundwater well monitoring, and Brownfield assessments. She is skilled in managing multi-million dollar budgets, contracts, and projects, as well as collaborating with intergovernmental agencies, elected officials, and community stakeholders. She is a trained field biologist in south Florida\'s coastal environments, with expertise in marine resource identification, percent cover analysis, coral mapping techniques, and disease discovery. She is a mentor for young STEM professionals and has several years of supervisory background.
