About Lindsey Bailey
With over 17 years of social work experience as well as growing up in Chile for the majority of her childhood, Lindsey brings a diverse set of skills and talent to her clinical social work practice. Prior to joining the community mental health movement, Lindsey worked within the anti-human trafficking field. Lindsey completed her Masters in Social Work degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Jane Addams College of Social Work. Lindsey views her role as a clinical practitioner as that of an active and engaging support system that is willing to accompany her clients in their individual and communal healing process’. Lindsey has been working in the community mental health field for the last 10 years, specifically providing individual, couples, and group counseling services to uninsured adults. Lindsey also strives to engage in community education, organizing, and advocacy efforts in order to help reduce the structural barriers and increase access to high quality, long-term, trauma-informed mental health services for individuals and communities that have been historically oppressed, marginalized underrepresented and underserved. In 2020, Lindsey Co-founded Centro Sanar together with three of her Social Worker colleagues. She now serves as Clinical Director at Centro Sanar, who provides free, high-quality, trauma informed and culturally attuned mental health services on the Southwest side of Chicago.
