After years in the media industry in a variety of roles, I’ve learned how to createeditorial experiences that perfectly cater to our audience’s interests. I’ve taken topic areaspreviously mostly ignored by readership and repositioned them with creative editorialapproaches that have made these sections must-read.As a senior news editor at People.com, working directly with our news director, I was theleader on countless major news and entertainment stories, running them from idea throughexecution to dissemination. I helmed the brand’s digital coverage of some of the biggestbreaking news stories of the past decade, including Kobe Bryant’s death and Kylie Jenner’ssurprise pregnancy announcement. I reported on the sidelines at the Olympic Games andscreamed at Madonna to please come talk to PEOPLE on the Met Gala red carpet.I have experience beyond just writing, interviewing, and editing, as well — I’ve led a team of seven writers, handled the hiring process for many roles, served as homepage curator, managed our syndication partnerships, handled creating and sending our email newsletters, managed content on our social media, and helmed the rollout of print stories on the PEOPLE website.I’ve also been nominated by PEOPLE leadership for the ASME NEXT Awards for Journalists Under 30 — it was an honor to have my hard work and dedication to the brand recognized.
