About Lindsay Hurt
With over eight years of experience in human resources, program management, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB), I am a strategic talent partner for AeroVironment, a leading provider of unmanned aircraft systems and tactical missile systems. In my current role, I foster strategic relationships with universities and professional organizations to hire top students and design and implement a University Relations Program that is dedicated to hiring the best workforce for the future. I serve as the subject matter expert to leadership on matters related to university relations and recruiting programs, develop and execute key sourcing strategies, work closely with hiring teams, and identify target schools and build partnerships. I am passionate about creating equitable, sustainable, and intersectional solutions for underserved and underrepresented communities. In my previous role as a Senior Diversity Talent Acquisition Specialist at Medtronic, I partnered with various stakeholders to create and launch the SHPE Medtronic College Fund and the Medtronic Foundation Scholarship Program, which increased our company attraction strategy within the Hispanic and Latino Network. I also oversaw and managed 20+ projects that improved talent pool access and brand awareness in the community. I have a Master of Applied Leadership and Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Dallas. I have strong skills in project management, strategy, program development, client service, recruitment, DEIB, coaching, change management, reporting, training, leadership, human-centered design, and consulting. I am always eager to learn new things, collaborate with diverse teams, and contribute to positive social impact.
