ABOUT LINDSAY DECARLO

Lindsay obtained her B.S. in Journalism with honors from the University of Florida, where she was an elected college ambassador and was awarded newspaper reporter before transitioning into the legal field. She thereafter earned her J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and completed a supplemental trial advocacy program at New York Law School. During her legal education, she held a Judicial clerkship with Florida’s Twelfth Judicial Circuit and was a Summer Associate for the Broward County Attorney’s Office, where she fostered municipal and public sector litigation skills. Lindsay is a Partner with the trial firm La Cava Jacobson & Goodis where she dedicates the majority to her practice to the vigorous defense of the areas most prominent doctors, hospitals, and healthcare organizations in both State and Federal jurisdictions from inception through trial. She also handles an array of complex and catastrophic tort claims and serves as national litigation counsel representing health providers in contracted government and correctional roles in federal jurisdictions throughout the country. She previously served as a Litigation Partner with a nationwide AM100 firm where she defended clients ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 corporations in a variety of complex issues at all stages of litigation. There, she was instrumental in helping to develop the firm\'s Class Action, Products Liability, and Health Care litigation practice groups throughout Florida. Lindsay was a former Litigation Associate with a premiere medical malpractice defense firm in New York City, where she defended the region\'s most notable doctors and successfully obtained numerous summary judgment decisions and assisted in securing defense verdicts on behalf of her clients in high-exposure matters. She had also worked as a Litigation Associate at a national plaintiffs firm based in NYC specializing in pharmaceutical and medical device products liability and mass torts. During her representation of those injured by faulty drugs and devices, she managed a robust caseload and participated in high profile national and multi-district litigations (MDLs). Lindsay is licensed to practice law in the State Courts of New York and Florida, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, the District of Connecticut, the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, and the Judicial Panel for Multi-District Litigation.
