I wear a few hats at Chicago Ventures. But let\'s start with a bit about who we are:CV is an early stage venture firm that leads seed stage investments. We believe that enduring companies can be built anywhere, and have made over 100 investments across the country that validate that our thesis is playing out. I work with CV\'s portfolio companies on areas like matchmaking talent; connecting into customers; marketing, communication and PR; and building community, content, and events to help scale up and skill up more efficiently.Outside of Platform, I also own Investor Relations, and our Marketing, Communications and Brand.In 2018 I launched the non-profit Chicago:Blend, a collaborative effort of venture capitalists in Chicago who know that diverse teams and inclusive environments are critical foundations for both the startups we invest in and our own venture firms.I\'m also a Kauffman Fellow Class 23; and serve as a Governing Board member at Lookingglass Theatre [a Tony-award winning theatre that focuses on the spectacular and the physical].I started swimming when I was 5 and got hooked on triathlons in 2012.

   Kauffman Fellows Program identifies, develops, and networks global leaders in the venture capital industry. It is a two-year apprenticeship program that features a structured curriculum with an individual development plan, executive coaching, facilitated mentoring, and peer learning and networking — all with a focus on giving back and one\'s responsibility as a leader in venture capital.
