ABOUT LINDSAY BRAITHWAITE
I am a nuclear energy professional with experience in nuclear regulatory affairs and new power plant licensing. Supporting the growth of clean and modern nuclear energy is my passion. My experience extends to leading a team which was managing the planning, scoping, and early regulatory engagement of a nuclear project Impact Assessment under the IAA (2019). As a consultant in the nuclear industry I have led projects which streamlined processes and developed new and innovative ideas for cost-saving in the operating nuclear power plants. I completed my MSc at Western University in the field of corrosion and electrochemistry as it relates to materials used in nuclear waste disposal, with work published in respected academic journals. I have previous professional experience as an analytical chemistry technician working with chemical and physical analyses of dairy-based food products. Through my work in chemistry, I have developed strong technical skills in high performance liquid chromatography, scanning electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, X-ray micro-computed tomography, and electrochemical experimentation.
