Do my values inside of work and outside of work align?Here is a snapshot of what these questions uncovered about me and my work –Do I love what I do?The answer to this is an unwavering “yes”. My work allows me to help others find their “AH-HA” moments of clarity, to see their value, and to strengthen the unique abilities that already lie within them. I value the importance of my ability to create true connections with my colleagues and community. I also love hearing that a new mentor and student I have matched in our program hit it off and connected almost immediately. I love that my work allows me to wake up and ask “what will today bring?” Undoubtedly, the day will bring a myriad of emails that will extend my daily “to-do” list. But what true inspiration, new idea, exciting event, or meaningful conversation will be had today.Am I good at what I do?Having previously worked at the Walt Disney World® Resort in large and small-scale event planning, I am hyper-sensitive to ensuring there is organization. I ask questions to ensure the big picture is achieved with every little detail in place. Creative problem solving is what I do. Instead of looking at a situation and saying “no”, I look at it and think “how can we”. I often rely on my ability to listen completely before I speak and ask questions for understanding before I react.What impact am I having on the world?I believe in the importance of doing good for good and that sometimes all someone needs is someone else to believe in them. Our program fosters an environment that promotes long-lasting positive connections and experiences that will inevitably create a ripple effect of positivity.Do my values inside of work and outside of work align?Outside of work, I am a daughter, sister, wife, and dog mom. My titles may change, but inside and outside of work me and my values remain the same. I am compassionate, intuitive, adventurous, creative, and positive. Staying true to who I am will always allow for the greatest amount of balance and opportunity each day. I am always looking to build new relationships and connections within my work environment and social network.
