ABOUT LINDSAY GEORGOPOULOS
Following on from my PhD in the molecular biology of cancer I undertook several years’ post-doctoral research developing novel cancer treatments in collaboration with a number of SMEs and academic partners. Building on my experience in applied science, my career developed into innovation and project management through positions with the Yorkshire Enterprise Fellowship (conversion of innovative academic and clinical research into revenue generating products or services) and NIHR CLAHRC for South Yorkshire (applying research evidence to improve NHS services and patient care). Following 3 years as IP and Contracts Officer, supporting academics from the Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering at the University of Leeds, I moved to Medipex to take a lead role in NHS-related innovation. In May 2021 I was delighted to accept the role of Chief Executive Officer for Medipex and am honoured to lead a professional and experienced team in supporting healthcare innovation across the NHS, University and industry sectors.
