ABOUT LINDSAY-ANN LONGO

As a Behavioral Health Specialist at the International Association of Fire Fighters and a licensed clinical social worker, I specialize in supporting the mental health and resilience of first responders. I consider it a deep honor to walk alongside our first responders as they navigate the unique challenges of their work. At the IAFF, I am proud to be a part of an organization whose mission — strength through united action, guided by intelligence — mirrors my own approach to behavioral health. Whether in professional relationships or large initiatives, I believe in collective strength, advocacy, informed care and the power of showing up for one another with clarity and compassion. Grounded in over a decade of sobriety and post traumatic growth, I bring lived experience to my work — a deep belief that healing is possible, and that people deserve to be met with empathy, understanding, and accountability. I lead from that place in both my personal and professional life.I believe that knowledge is power and we empower individuals to make more aligned decisions when they understand the ways their bodies and brains function. I’m especially passionate about the intersection of neuroscience, movement, and emotional regulation; the interconnection of the body and mind and how we can support healing in both. I am a 200-hour yoga teacher and currently enrolled in a nutritional neuroscience program.Outside of my role with the IAFF, I serve on the board of directors for the Salty Dog Foundation, a 501(c)(3) honoring the life and service of Lt. Kelsey Sadler.
