ABOUT LINDEN CHARLTON

About 20 years in the mineral exploration industry - 15 of those running and managing consulting companies. In that time I have gained extensive experience generating, coordinating and managing logistically challenging projects in remote locations.What I\'ve learned in that time is that consistency, transparency and trust are the foundation of successful projects. Whether I\'m working closely with clients to deliver successful projects, or working in remote exploration camps with diverse groups all focused on getting the job done, I\'ve learned that attitude is often what determines whether a project succeeds or fails. I try to be positive, accommodating and genuine in all of my interactions with people. I grew up in the mining industry. I spent lots of time with my father, both in the field and looking at maps and rocks. Those experiences shaped me. The adventure of remote work and the fact that no two projects are the same kept me hooked. My academic career was pursued out of curiosity and deep interest in the relationship between people and space, as much in the geographic sense as the architectural sense. The most significant overlap between my academic and professional careers is the probably the importance of maps and spatial intelligence in both fields.Beyond my passion for maps and deep appreciation for spatial data, the skills that I have brought to my businesses are my ability to build trust with clients and build teams that work together to accomplish common objectives. I\'ve brought competent professionals together for complex projects that almost always have unpleasant surprises. My ability to lead and diplomatically manage expectations and settle conflict have seen me through some very sticky situations.When I\'m not working I\'m either playing with my kids, making custom hardwood furniture, or working on building projects at home or for friends and family.I am always looking to put my energy and experience to work on new initiatives.
