ABOUT LINDA WILLIAMS
Linda “Missy” Williams is a lifelong dancer trained in ballet, jazz, African, modern, dance hall, Soca, Afro-Cuban, and self-trained in house dance. Linda has trained and performed with Vivian Smith Dance Studio, Dixons Dance Academy, Temple University’s S.O.C.A. Dance Crew, B.A.M.N, Beyond Limits Dance Ensemble, Gallaudet Dance company and DC Casineros. As a black woman who struggled with self-acceptance, social anxiety, navigating trauma and domestic violence; dance has always served as an outlet for Missy -an outlet that she strives to share with others. Missy is launching a public health “groovement” called Groove and Move, that connects both veterans and people in her community to the healing benefits of dance and movement. Linda is a student member of the American Dance Therapy Association and student of Drexel University\'s Dance Movement therapy program located in Philadelphia, P.A. Missy is a mother to two wonderful children and hails from the small town of Pittsgrove, NJ. She received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology, a minor in Criminal Justice and a certification in Spanish from Temple University in 2012. Linda commissioned from Temple University\'s ROTC program and continues to serve as an Army Officer, with over 14 years of military service.
