ABOUT LINDA BROWN

Linda is an eLearning & Curriculum Developer at CCRW. Building inclusive, interactive, and intersectional curriculum and eLearning content for clients and staff, Linda focuses on agency, self-determination, and partnering for success. Through relationship building, radical acceptance, and empowering coaching, Linda\'s connection with people informs and shapes the development of the online learning community at CCRW, and contributes to the inclusive and welcoming culture in the organization. Linda prides themselves on high quality content creation, universal curriculum development, and accessibility up front, and is continually adding tools and strategies to their toolkit. Linda began their journey at CCRW as an Employment Facilitator; a role consisting of recruitment and selection, curriculum building and facilitating through an online workshop setting, case management, mentorship and coaching youth with disabilities, connecting youth with supports, job developing and building relationships with employers, community advocacy and education, and community partnership building. Linda brings an intersectional lens and lived experience to their work which helps elevate their clients\' experience by availing of Linda\'s community network. Linda\'s background in HR helps them hone their approach in a way that creates a mutually beneficial and productive relationship for clients and employers. Linda spent their youth developing their professional skills in artisan kitchens in St. John\'s. Not only is Linda a terrific cook, but they have demonstrated team leading capabilities, multi-tasking in high-stress environments, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Many of the skills Linda has learned in their 18 years in restaurants are transferable across their professional life. Linda prides themselves on their reliability, time management, and quality of work.Linda is a lifelong learner who plans to consistently seek credential-building opportunities. She graduated with an HR diploma from CNA with a 4.0 GPA and receiving the President\'s Medal of Excellence for highest academic achieving student in her program. Linda also enjoys volunteering for the St. John\'s Soccer Club as a youth soccer coach, is active in the local 2SLGBTQIA+ community as a peer support person and mental health ally, and run a marginalized genders support group online.Linda aspires to develop into a leader in her community by combining her love of working with youth with her passion for building equitable, safe, and healthy workplaces where employees thrive.
