Provide leadership and program development, implementation and management of the YNHHS Workplace Violence Prevention Program- Coordinate efforts to eliminate workplace violence incidents among six delivery network hospitals- Support and grow existing programs, e.g, current trainings, and share across the health system- Produce video vignettes as part of new training projects- Proofread WPV and Employee Health documents- Policies/Procedures Approval; System Level Changes- Serve as Chair for the Yale New Haven Health System Workplace Violence Prevention Committee and coordinate efforts for its Education/Communications, Peer Support and Management of High Risk Patients Work Groups.Accomplishments to date:YNHHS’ Workplace Violence Prevention Program launched initiatives including-Educational webinars-An updated WPV event debrief process -A systemwide behavioral rapid response process-Heightened awareness and use of the Broset Violence Checklist, which helps identify patients with a high propensity for aggression or violence-The WPV Care Signature Pathway, a step-by-step algorithm to help staff respond to aggressive behavior events-The Peer Support Network, teams throughout the health system that support colleagues with emotionally challenging eventsThese activities are designed to address workplace violence through prevention, effective and safe response and reporting of occurrences.
