ABOUT LINA EDWARDS

I\'m the person who gets called when systems are broken in ways that cross boundaries—when the root cause is technical but tangled in organizational dynamics, when reliability has eroded and no one\'s sure why, when something critical needs to exist and no one knows how to start.I\'ve spent 20+ years in distributed systems, production engineering, and backend architecture. I\'ve turned around failing services, rebuilt observability from scratch, and shaped engineering cultures around ownership and clarity. My work happens at the intersection of code, communication, and coordination—I make complexity tractable so teams can move.I recently took a sabbatical to return to first principles. I built a production-grade Kubernetes cluster from bare metal—netboot provisioning, Ceph storage, Cilium networking, full observability stack—as a platform for exploring how AI can reason about infrastructure and compress the investigative cycle.I\'m excited about starting a new role working on embedded software this year (2026), a new mountain for me to climb. Lots of new things for me to learn.
