ABOUT LILY MCNAIR
I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Certified Culinary Medicine Specialist, and Culinary Coach from the rural southwest borderlands of Yuma, Arizona. A proud Arizona Western College graduate (Go Matadors!) and two-time graduate of the University of Arizona (Bear Down!), I work at the intersection of clinical care, community health, and food systems—bridging these disciplines through a translational, One Health approach that connects human health with the health of our food, environment, and communities. My clinical expertise includes women’s health (diabetes in pregnancy, PCOS, fertility), pediatric feeding and eating disorders, and culinary medicine. I integrate medical nutrition therapy with culturally grounded, food-as-medicine interventions that honor local foodways and promote health equity across generations.I currently work as SALUDABLES (USDA Grant) Coordinator and teach as Adjunct Faculty at Arizona Western College. I also develop and implement culinary medicine classes, curriculum, and programming through community volunteering and academic partnerships. Over the last 3 years, I have taught and mentored undergraduate, graduate, nursing, and medical students, helping them connect the science of nutrition to the art of patient care. I also have experience working with Cocopah and Quechan Tribal Nations, AHEC, land-grant universities, and local schools.I serve as Membership Chair for the Arizona Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. I am also the former President of its Southwest District and Policy & Advocacy Liaison for the Women’s Health Dietetic Practice Group.I have a deep commitment to advancing community-based health through education, collaboration, and systems-level change. Rooted in both science and service, my goal is to continue bridging the gap between healthcare, nutrition, and community health—with these values: compassion, cultural humility, and a commitment to care that is personal, practical, and relational.Web Portfolio: https://lymcnair.wixsite.com/portfolio
