About Lily Travis

I am pre-medical graduate from Boston University. My love of medicine has allowed me to take part in a variety of clinical, volunteer, and research opportunities where I have learned the importance of empathy and resilience in medicine. From volunteering at Harbor UCLA Medical Center to a summer fellowship in Budapest, Hungary, I will continue to learn and grow with each opportunity. I hope to enter medical school in the next few years, pursuing my dream to become a physician and help those around me.

As a Clinical Research Coordinator within the Department of Neurology, I help conduct clinical trials on patient’s experiencing Movement Disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease and Wilson’s Disease. Each day poses a different challenge, whether in the lab, in clinic, or inputting data on a computer. However, the ultimate goal is to improve treatment practices and overall patient care. I am extremely delighted to be working with such a great group of providers, researchers, and peers—I cannot wait to give back and grow from this experience.
