About Lily McGarr

I’m an enthusiastic Elementary Education major at the University of Tampa with a passion for creating inclusive learning environments and fostering positive relationships with children, teens, and families. Over the past several years, I’ve built extensive experience in youth leadership, classroom instruction, and program management.As a Group Leader at Camp Timber Tops, I supervised and mentored over 100 campers while training and guiding a team of counselors to deliver engaging, age-appropriate programming. In addition, my roles as a 2nd Grade Judaic Studies Teacher and front desk associate at Cycle Bar & Pure Barre have honed my skills in communication, organization, and relationship building across diverse settings.I’m known for being adaptable, empathetic, and highly organized, with a proven ability to balance multiple responsibilities while supporting the growth and well-being of others. My goal is to bring these strengths into my future classroom, where I can inspire students to learn, grow, and feel valued every day.

   As Chapter Excellence Specialist for BBYO’s Greater Jersey Region, I mentor teen leaders to strengthen their chapters through leadership development, program planning, and community engagement. I collaborate with regional staff and volunteers to foster inclusive, impactful Jewish experiences and empower teens to build lasting connections and confidence as leaders.
