Dr. Lily Khidr is Executive Scientific Publisher at RELX Group, managing a $100M+ portfolio of 200+ editors across 40+ countries for the company that publishes journals including The Lancet and Cell. She translates cutting-edge scientific research into strategic insights for universities, corporations, and government stakeholders worldwide.With a BS in molecular and cell biology (UC Berkeley), MS in physiological sciences (UCLA), and MS/PhD in biochemistry and cancer genetics (UC Irvine School of Medicine), Lily\'s research focused on mitochondrial genetics in human cancer formation. She has taught at undergraduate, graduate, and medical school levels and served as adjunct faculty at Columbia University\'s School of Biological Sciences.Lily began her publishing career as an Editor at Nature Genetics, then joined Science Magazine as an Editor at the inception of Science Translational Medicine. For two decades, she has driven global academic and industrial partnerships, enhanced university research commercialization, and expanded knowledge dissemination in emerging regions including Africa. She strategically positioned RELX to play an influential role in the US White House Cancer Moonshot Initiative, earning Presidential recognition.She serves as President of the United Nations Association of New York and Advisory Board Member for the Breast Cancer Alliance.
