ABOUT LILY HUDNER
Driven and passionate student, extremely interested in sustainability, environmental advocacy, and conservation, where I hope to become further involved in the human, social, economic and environmental areas that make up sustainability. I also have business and marketing experience and coursework that I hope to intersect with my environmental interests. My positions as an Education Fellow, a Sleepaway Camp Counselor for two summers, as part of a Farm Crew, and as an Outdoor Trip Leader have helped me grow and emphasize my skills in leadership, outdoor education, communication, willingness to learn, and balancing the needs of multiple campers and students at a time. During these experiences, I have been eager to help others find a meaningful relationship with nature, learn about and educate others on sustainability and environmental issues, and find solutions for climate change concerns. Through my time at Skidmore College, I have continued my interest for sustainability and environmental studies through my chosen coursework, including field work, climate research, energy development, environmental justice and social issues, and more. Additionally, as a part of an environmental campaign that I created, fighting for Native American rights and management in the National Park Service, I was published twice in a major regional newspaper, the Boston Herald, for my letters to the editor in 2022 and 2023. During my internship as a Sustainability Marketing Intern, I was able to intersect my interests in the environment and business to find innovative ways to strengthen the company\'s sustainability practices and positively market the brand by leveraging their efforts in sustainability. I also have experience as a Sales Associate, where I have developed skills in prospect outreach, membership growth, communication, cold-calling, and more.
