As an FFT Specialist Intern, I provide evidence-based family therapy services to youth and families referred through community and court systems. Using the Functional Family Therapy model, I support families in identifying relational patterns, strengthening communication, and building problem-solving skills to reduce conflict and improve functioning- Facilitate structured family sessions focused on motivation, behavior change, and generalization of new skills- Conduct comprehensive family assessments and collaboratively develop treatment plans aligned with FFT model principles- Utilize strength-based and culturally responsive approaches to engage resistant clients and promote sustainable change- Maintain detailed case documentation, progress notes, and outcomes tracking in accordance with agency and model standards- Participate in weekly supervision and FFT team consultations to enhance clinical competency and fidelity to the model- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including probation officers, schools, and community partners, to coordinate holistic care.
