About Lily Gleicher
With more than a decade of experience in criminal justice and social research and policy, I am passionate about advancing evidence-based practices and policies that promote justice, dignity, equity, and sustainability. My background expands the gamut and includes experience in academic and institutional research, government and policy work, non-profit data and research management, journal editor & board member, and teaching and technical work. My work includes: police diversion and deflection initiatives; bail, pretrial, & criminal court systems; probation, parole & reentry; institutional corrections (jails, prisons); RNR/RNAs; and the nexus between mental, behavioral, and public health and justice systems. I nerd out on justice policy, reading criminal codes, analyzing data, reading a good book, cats, & knitting and crocheting.I’ve worked with a variety of internal and external stakeholders; I’m detail-oriented, and do well in both collaborative and individual working environments.I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with the next generation of scholars and practitioners, and engaging them in critical and creative thinking about the issues and opportunities in the field. I believe in involving impacted people and communities, engaging in equitable research and analytics, and understanding and gathering various perspectives to support public safety while reducing harm to individuals.
