ABOUT LILY FILLWALK

Lily Fillwalk is a passionate and driven researcher and student who is interested in science-based urban community agriculture, focusing on environmental justice issues. They are currently pursuing a Master of Environmental Science (MESc) degree at Yale School of the Environment, where they are conducting research on urban green roof soil organic carbon levels in New York City with Dr. Dorceta Taylor, a leading expert in environmental justice and sustainability. As a Research Fellow at the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Sustainability (JEDSI) Laboratory, Lily has contributed to several projects on food access challenges in communities, specifically Boston, MA, and Detroit, MI. They have developed research, analytical, and communication skills and gained valuable experience in environmental justice and sustainability issues. Lily holds a dual degree in Environmental Science and Studio Art from Pitzer College.
