ABOUT LILLIAN LHOMMEDIEU

If you told me 10 years ago that I was going to fall in love with programming one day, I would have burst out laughing. Despite the best efforts of enrichment programs, I was convinced that computer science wasn\'t going to be for me. However, my love for solving problems, learning new things, and tackling challenges eventually led me to give computer science a chance. When I did, I discovered an outlet that fulfilled all three of those passions. After finding ways to incorporate coding and optimization into daily life, and losing track of time learning new programming skills, I knew that I had to pursue CS at Georgia Tech. My coursework has focused on Intelligence and Information Internetworks, with my favorite courses including Systems and Networks, Computer Organization and Programming, Algorithms, Combinatorics, and Data Structures. At Georgia Tech, I enjoy the technical aspects of CS, but during my co-op rotations at Delta Air Lines, I apply my programming skills to solve practical problems. This includes revising and streamlining processes, uncovering automation potential, and providing fresh perspectives on technical and business solutions. I have built a strong foundation of skills, both academic and professional. My versatile skill set includes project management, cross-team coordination, continuous process improvement, data collection and analysis, software development, and more, enabling me to adapt to a wide variety of situations and challenges. While I am not sure exactly where my career is headed, I know that I am a motivated, capable candidate eager to try new roles and experiences. I hope to join an organization where I can realize my potential and pursue continuous personal growth, in an environment that emphasizes the importance of diversity, creativity, and collaboration in problem solving.
