About Lilian G.

After graduating from Cornell University with a degree in communication and business administration, I went into the retail space and worked at the amazing Bloomingdale’s 59th St. It gave me the chance to learn about client relations, retention, hiring and firing, and finding ways to increase profits while communicating clearly and effectively to give our customers a memorable experience. After my time as an associate manager, I knew that I could expand my skillset by entering the finance industry and joined UBS Financial Services in their middle office division. Over the past years, I have enjoyed building my team, working on the required policies and procedures, improving our training program and guidance documents, and interacting with directors and leads across all departments in wealth management. I plan to continue working in this industry and find ways to create efficiency and transparency in compliance policies within financial institutions. I enjoy giving back to my community through outreach and participating in my Cornell Alumni Community, organizing events that can help raise scholarship funds for future students. After completing my MBA, I will obtain various licenses and certifications that will help me specialize and become more familiar with the growth and opportunities in the compliance, anti-money laundering world. I look forward to progressing in my career path and continuing to educate myself to become an expert in my field and better assist the next generation of professionals.
