   Dr. Cecan has more than 20-years environmental experience, specializing in risk-based remediation, brownfields redevelopment and litigation support. She provided leadership for environmental engineers, in resolving intricate remediation issues, pertaining to bedrock contamination, saltwater intrusion, site-specific standards evaluation (i.e, direct contact via risk assessment, impact to groundwater via SESOIL / AT123D, groundwater vapor intrusion via J&J NJDEP / USEPA tools), and attainment compliance using Thiessen Polygon Method. Dr. Cecan’s analytical and numerical vadose zone, groundwater, air dispersion and vapor intrusion fate and transport modeling experience plays a major role in her expertise to create site’s conceptual models, and address the environmental health risks by minimizing remediation costs, in order to perform Sustainable Remediation. The data analysis and data visualizations, used to evaluate complex hydro-geologic conditions, solve site-specific remediation issues, in both reports and client, community groups, and regulatory agencies presentations, were instrumental for the success of her projects.She is knowledgeable with both USEPA regulations and NJDEP LSRP program, being up-to-date with the State and Federal laws, regulations and protocols, and prepared numerous Preliminary Assessments, Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations and Remedial Actions reports, and Quality Assurance Project Plans for Superfund and SRP Sites. Dr. Cecan is a Professional Engineer in NJ and NY, Certified with National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying, and approved to teach the SESOIL/AT123D course for NJDEP LSRP (Board Course No. 20•••02).Dr. Cecan has a Master degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Electro Mechanical Engineering - Power Generating Systems.
