I live and work in the Trinity Alps Wilderness for three months each summer, contributing to an inclusive community of staff, campers and volunteers. I plan and lead backpacking trips for campers and facilitate an environment in which everyone is actively engaged in community. My goal is to empower campers ages 11-17 with skills in wilderness living, leadership, strong communication and conflict resolution.

ABOUT LILA SAYRE
Recent Wesleyan University graduate with a B.A. in Earth & Environmental Science and Mathematics, passionate about advancing climate solutions through scientific research, data analysis, and public engagement. My work has spanned from field research in Patagonia and Antarctica—conducted in Spanish—to environmental education in the Trinity Alps Wilderness. As a fluent Spanish speaker and former varsity athlete and team captain, I bring strong cross-cultural communication skills, leadership, and resilience to every team I join. I’m especially interested in the intersection of environmental science, climate justice, and policy—and am currently pursuing opportunities in climate advocacy while preparing for law school.
