ABOUT LILA ARRASJID

Mechanical Engineering student at CSULB driven by a passion for sustainable design, Aerospace, and real-world impact. As a Research Assistant in CSULB’s rocket lab, I have worked closely with fluid systems and propulsion on a nitrous-kerosene rocket. I am currently the Project Director of ASME’s IAM3D competition, overseeing Project Managers and leading the design and manufacturing of a robot for extraterrestrial excavation. I have also taken on the role of Mechanical / CAD lead, and have stepped into the role of Vice President of Professional Development next semester. As a Powertrain Engineer for CSULB’s Lunabotics team, I prototype a lunar robot using CAD tools like SolidWorks as part of NASA’s Lunabotics Challenge—gaining hands-on experience in mechanical design, fabrication, and teamwork.Outside the lab, I’ve worked with Habitat for Humanity, applying construction skills to community projects. I also bring over five years of entrepreneurial experience running a successful Depop store, where I lead design, sourcing, and marketing—embracing sustainable fashion and circular economy principles. I’m seeking opportunities where I can apply my engineering skills to meaningful, forward-thinking projects that benefit both people and the planet!
