I am the 5th of 7 sons, an Air Force Brat, who grew up in a loving military family that allowed me to travel the world, play soccer with English kids, appear on the classic TV show, Blue Peter, get to know people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, have a 15- year military career, sing Karaoke in Tokyo, host Karaoke at 3 Irish Pubs in Germany, and in a weekend course in Boston, I discovered for myself the Extraordinary Nature of Human Beings - of All People!I am committed that People are Known, Appreciated and Respected for Who They Are, and that Their Unique Gift is Expressed in the World!    Teaching Fundamentals of Computing to 3 class blocks totalling 72 students for both semesters. The course is required for graduation in the State of South Carolina, and is a survey course of a variety of topics including Safety & Ethics, Career and Technolgy Student Organizations, Technology Knowledge, Personal Qualities and Employability Skills, Professional Knowledge, Ethical, Legal & Social Issues of Computing, Problem Solving & Computing, Fundamentals of Web Design, of Programming, and of Computational Data, and Computing Careers with the option to cover Fundamentals of Physical Computing and of Machine Learning. Special emphasis on students learning to work in small groups effectively, and gaining a level of mastery in 5 Critical Skills:(1) Communication,(2) Collaboration,(3) Problem Solving,(4) Critical Thinking and (5) Creativity.
